Wind power investors plan to quit Inner Mongolia market

Over the past two years there has been wind power investment fever in North China¡¯s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, but sources familiar with the matter revealed that many wind power investors are now fleeing the area.

Figures show that more than one hundred companies from home and abroad showed investment interest, and about 50 companies signed cooperation agreements, however, only ten have started construction.

Sources said the companies planning to leave included Farsighted Group, a clean energy investment company, and Switzerland¡¯s Adxiam. Some enterprises are adopting a wait-and-see attitude while finishing primary work.

Why the change in investor¡¯s attitudes?
